Consecrating in the Cold

We completed our 33 days to Morning Glory on Feb. 2, 2014, the Feast of the Presentation.

The consecration ceremony was beautiful. We were truly blessed to have 41 participants from our East Range Catholic Parishes, including St. John's in Biwabik, Minn.; Holy Rosary in Aurora, Minn.; and Queen of Peace in Hoyt Lakes, Minn.

It has been about the fourth coldest winter in Minnesota, but we had so many faithful participants. They came to sessions when it was -30 or -40 on a Sunday night.

Our small groups really bonded, and it has been a beginning of renewal in our parishes. I am so grateful to Fr. Michael Gaitley for putting together such an easy-to-follow format for the retreat. The retreat leaders guide was an excellent resource, as was your website and staff. Thank you so much for all that you do.

We will do Part II next year during Lent and will repeat the 33 days to Morning Glory in the fall. We plan to meet in a month for a pot luck supper.
