Homemade Hearts for Mary

This group is from St. Anastasia Parish in Fort Pierce, Fla.

I've attached three photos. One is of the group who consecrated on Dec. 12, 2013, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. All of the members of the group bought or made hearts to give to Mary as a symbol of our consecration. The second picture shows one of the homemade hearts. We put our names and the date of consecration on them and, after reading our consecration at the altar, processed to hang the hearts on Mary's tree, which is the third picture.

And amazingly, the Holy Spirit intervened and Fr. Gaitley had to replace Deacon Chris at the last minute for a mission at our parish, so we had him here for Dec. 16, 17, and 18, right after our consecration! What a gift! (We had Br. Chris for Lent and loved him, too.)
