Each prayer request to the Divine Mercy Intercessory Prayerline is remembered by the intercessors during their own daily Holy Hour. An intercessor is shown above praying for prayer intentions in Our Lady of Mercy Oratory, located adjacent to the ministry's office.
What is Intercessory Prayer?
Intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. Throughout scripture, God's people are encouraged to intercede or pray for one another.
It is the Lord's intention that the members of the Body of Christ plea for His mercy, His life, His healing and the outpouring of His Holy Spirit on behalf of others who are experiencing injustice, suffering, or deprivation.
Having full confidence and trusting completely in His mercy, the petitioner comes before the Lord and begs for the gift of intercessory prayer through the Holy Spirit, then offers prayers for others and all their intentions before Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament in our chapel.
