Priests

In the midst of one of the most anti-clerical movements in the history of the West, God lifted up a lowly and unlearned peasant, St. John Vianney, to become who we now know as the patron saint of priests. His feast day is Aug. 4.

Episode 127 with Kevin Wells
Kevin Wells, a former sportswriter in Major League Baseball, has authored a remarkable and timely book called "Priests We Need to Save the Church." In his book, Kevin delves into a significant personal struggle, as well as the advice given by his uncle, Msgr. Thomas Wells, during that difficult time. The book further evolves in response to the Church crisis, as Kevin attempts to address the question, "What kind of priests do we need to save the Church?"

Biological fathers matter, and so do spiritual fathers, including our mentors, our godfathers, and our clergy. A holy priest can transform whole regions into hotbeds of Christian practice, as proven again and again by priests from Jesus and the Apostles on down.

Fr. Tyler of the Marian Fathers is asked about vocations and how he knew he was called to the priesthood. Take a listen to this genuine and authentic answer. Blessings on this newly ordained priest!

Saint Faustina prayed and sacrificed for her priests. Are you?
