Immaculate Heart of Mary

Each First Friday and First Saturday, we must make a Communion of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Join us on July 3 and 4.

Mary is our Mother of Mercy. And St. Maximilian Kolbe (feast day: Aug. 14) is one who not only taught about the Immaculata, but also lived in imitation of her merciful, tender Heart.

As we prepare to celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 27 and the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on June 28, let us strive to know and unite more deeply with their Hearts, and make reparation for the fact that their love for us is so often not returned.

"The Three Merciful Hearts are beating in unison as the perfect example for every family," says Br. Eliott, MIC. "Cultivating devotion to the Three Hearts will help every Catholic imitate their virtues and bring their powerful intercession to our world, so badly in need of conversion."

Times are tough, but they can be made better, and according to Heaven, turning to Our Lady is a key part of the answer, especially on her feast (June 17).

Fr. Anthony Gramlich, MIC, explains the origins of the devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary - two of the most important of all devotions in the Church.

Even in global affairs, our prayers can have more power than we ever dream. And Our Lady has given us her guidance. All we need do is listen, practice what she called for, and persevere.

In this episode, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, discusses the requests made by Our Lady at Fatima that, if followed by us, would ward off chastisements and lead to the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. Among these were to pray the Rosary daily for peace, and also to observe First Saturdays to make reparation for the blasphemies committed against her. Fr. Chris explains why this is one of the "Big 4" of all Catholic devotions.

Through Mary's Heart's love, elevated and perfected by the Holy Spirit, she says yes to God, and God comes to save us all.
