33 Days to Morning Glory

The following testimony is a blog entry written by 33 Days to Morning Glory participant Linda Bevec from St. Anne's Catholic Church, Pleasant Prairie, WI.

In a letter to the Priests, Deacons, Religious Educators, Pastoral Leaders and Faithful of the Diocese of Peoria, Bishop Daniel R. Jenky specifically suggests that parishes, schools, and families consider a 30-day Marian Consecration as outlined in a book by Father Michael Gaitly, MIC.

Fr. Michael Gaitley gave two wonderful talks focusing on the beauty of the graces that are upon us and available to us now at this time, in which we live surrounded by great evil and darkness.

In a simple invitation to an upcoming Consoling the Heart of Jesus retreat, a leader and participant of the 33 Days to Morning Glory pilot gives a heart-felt testimony to her pastor and friends.

What a blessing to hear from all who consecrated to Jesus through Mary on the Feast of the Annunciation!

How exciting to be on this journey to consecration together! I made my first consecration back in 1999, and "33 Days to Morning Glory" has re-invigorated my passion and understanding about this very important spiritual act.

In remarks to the Pope and the College of Cardinals, Cardinal-elect Dolan emphasized that "the missionary and the evangelist must be a person of joy," and he went on to say, "The New Evangelization is accomplished with a smile, not a frown."

How did you celebrate your consecration? Tell us, and we'll put your name in a drawing for some really "cool" stuff (sounds tempting, I know!)

They were told they would be on camera, and - yep - that couldn't be avoided.

Footnotes are not the favorite pastime of students. Believe me, a professor in the university classroom! But the footnotes of 33 Days are pure gold!
