Purgatory

What is the connection between Pope Leo XIV and one of the great holy wonder-workers or miracle workers in the history of our faith,  St. Nicholas of Tolentino? He was was an Augustinian friar (like Pope Leo) and considered the patron of the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

What better way to empty Purgatory, notes Fr. Dan Cambra, MIC, than to obtain the extraordinary grace of Divine Mercy Sunday, April 12, for ourselves each and every year?

Non-Catholics often reject the doctrine of Purgatory, claiming it is not Biblical. Join Fr. Chris Alar as he explains where it is in the Bible and easy steps to do now to avoid the most extreme punishment after we die.

The month of November provides us with the perfect opportunity to aid the suffering souls in Purgatory whose “greatest torment … was longing for God.” November is dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

As we celebrate All Souls’ Day on Nov. 2, and Thanksgiving later this month, let us thank God for His blessings upon our nation, and ask for His help with the needs of our country, especially in this time of war, disease, natural disasters, and uncertainty.

On Nov. 2 of each year, The Catholic Church observes the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, otherwise better known as All Souls' Day. It is on this day that we honor those who have passed on from this life, as we pray that they may be purified before entering into the Kingdom of Heaven! So today, be sure to offer up your prayers for your own departed loved ones, as well as the souls suffering in Purgatory!

Enjoy this informative talk by Fr. Dan Cambra on the Catholic subject of Purgatory from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, Stockbridge, Mass., USA.

Purgatory, Ash Wednesday, 40 Days of Lent, Confession, Giving something up, Fasting, Abstinence from meat, Almsgiving - why do we do these things? Fr. Chris Alar explains why you need to know... your eternal salvation may depend on it!

The Holy Souls need our help. One day, they may help you.

From both Scripture and Sacred Tradition, the Church teaches that we must be cleared of any remaining moral debt to God. Father Chris explains this final healing and sanctification of the soul on its journey into the Heart of Divine Love.
