STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS — More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the annual Divine Mercy Sunday Weekend celebration on April 11 and 12 at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the home of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. This annual event is hosted by the Marian Fathers, who have promoted the Divine Mercy message and devotion since 1941.
The principal celebrant for the Sunday 1 p.m. ET Liturgy will be the Most Rev. David L. Ricken, Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The Mass will be celebrated at the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine and livestreamed on Facebook and and on the Marian Fathers' dedicated streaming site, DivineMercyPlus.org.
Extraordinary Graces
Extraordinary graces are available to the faithful on Divine Mercy Sunday. In three places in her Diary, St. Faustina records our Lord's promises of specific, extraordinary graces. Jesus said:
I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy (1109).
Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (300).
The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment (699).

Live on EWTN on Divine Mercy Sunday
A live international broadcast of the Marian Fathers’ solemn celebration of Divine Mercy will air on the EWTN Global Catholic Network beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 12, with a one-hour program preceding the celebration at 12 Noon ET, once again hosted by Fr. Joseph Roesch, MIC, Superior General of the Marian Congregation, and Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, Provincial Superior.
The theme for this year's Divine Mercy Pre-Show at 12 Noon ET is "USA 250: One Nation Under God's Mercy," fitting for this 250th anniversary year of the founding of the United States. The live broadcast will include special guests:
- The Most Rev. David L. Ricken, Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin, who will celebrate the 1 p.m. ET Liturgy. As the 12th bishop of Green Bay since 2008, Bishop Ricken is perhaps best known for his 2010 “Decree on the Authenticity of the Apparitions of 1859 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help” in Champion, Wisconsin, to Servant of God Adele Brise. Bishop Ricken was the first and only diocesan bishop in the United States to officially approve a Marian apparition. He is a member of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee for Canonical Affairs and Church Governance, and a member of the Bishops' Advisory Council for the Institute for Priestly Formation and the Catholic Mutual Relief Society. Bishop Ricken is also the co-chair for the International Commission for dialogue between the Disciples of Christ and the Catholic Church. He serves on the Board of Directors for Relevant Radio.

- Dr. Dan Schneider, Adjunct Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville and an Associate Staff Member at the St. John Henry Newman Research Centre for Theology at Maryvale Institute in Birmingham, England.A former U.S. Army helicopter pilot and author of The Liber Christo Method, Dr. Schneider draws on his extensive experience to offer practical tools and insights for those engaged in spiritual battle. He works with Fr. Chad Ripperger, providing tools and resources for priests and laity working in the apostolate of exorcism. Joining Dr. Schneider in this ministry is Jason Henderson. A retired Navy Seal and boxing champion, Jason now uses his combat experience to train Catholics in spiritual warfare. He shows how a military mindset is key to developing the skills and virtues for battle.

- Joan and Dave Maroney, founders of Mother of Mercy Messengers, an apostolate of the Marian Fathers which spreads the Divine Mercy message and devotion. They also run an online ministry, Divine Mercy for America. Since 1999, they have dedicated their lives to helping Catholic parishes and schools learn about, live, and spread The Divine Mercy message and devotion. In their personal as well as missionary lives, they have encountered thousands upon thousands who have been incredibly transformed by Divine Mercy and are convinced that it is the most important message and devotion for our times. The mission of Divine Mercy for America is to radically increase awareness of and devotion to Jesus, The Divine Mercy as a sure means of providing great benefit to souls in our country and those throughout “the whole world.”

- John C. Yep, President of Catholics for Catholics, "an organization dedicated to the evangelization of the USA through public prayer, powerful media, and strategic political action. ... As a 501c4 organization, Catholics for Catholics provides educational resources about Catholic doctrine, including materials addressing Catholic leaders' positions on public policy, legislation, and other social welfare matters. Catholics for Catholics also promotes related activities that promote social welfare based on Catholic doctrinal teachings."

Tent City
Throughout the weekend, the 350-acre Shrine grounds are transformed into a small tent city, providing opportunities for Confession, Eucharistic Adoration, praying the Rosary, and perusing the Divine Mercy Gift Shop. Both the Vigil Mass at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, and the Sunday Liturgy at 1 p.m. on April 12 will be celebrated on Eden Hill at the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine.
Translators will be on hand to provide assistance to visitors in Spanish, Polish, Italian, French, German, and Tagalog. In all, approximately 600 volunteers will assist with a myriad of responsibilities.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be the prayer banner composed of thousands of pieces of cloth with prayer intentions for Divine Mercy Sunday sent in from across the United States and Canada.
All are welcome to come and experience Divine Mercy Weekend 2026!
The GPS address to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy is 74 Pine Street, Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
