Legion of Marian Consecrations

Dear Hearts Afire,

The Legion of Mary hosted a 33 Days to Morning Glory Program at St. Bonaventure Parish in Huntington Beach, Calif. The consecration took place on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The consecration ceremony was part of the Mass and witnessed by the congregation, who were invited to consecrate themselves and offered a scapular in commemoration of their consecration.

Twenty eight people enrolled in the program and, while several came to the program to reconsecrate themselves, many came uncertain of the meaning of the consecration. The program has proved very convincing in explaining the meaning and the awesome new relationship that comes from this commitment. A pizza dinner followed to allow all to share social time together with family members.
