An Italian priest in the 13th century, St. Peregrine is known as the "Miracle-Worker" because of numerous miracles received through his intercession.

The patron saint of cancer patients, he himself knew the experience of pain and illness. He was diagnosed with cancer in his leg and awaited amputation. The eve before the scheduled procedure, St. Peregrine brought himself to a crucifix. He received a vision of the Risen Lord extending His hand to touch the priest’s afflicted leg. The saint's limb was instantly healed.

Assumption Triduum

Novena: August 13 - 15

The Feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother is very special to my Marian family. We will celebrate a Triduum of Masses on August 13, 14, and 15 to proclaim that Mary, the Mother of our Savior, never experienced the corruption of the grave and that she was assumed into heaven, body, and soul, at the end of her earthly journey.

To enhance our tribute to Mary on this special feast day each year, we place roses at her statue in the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy during the Triduum of Masses. We will also light a votive candle that will burn for 7 days for your personal intentions.
